Influences, especially on the vocal, reminded me of Incubus/Brandon Boyd. All comparisons really are irrelevant though as this band shows its own individual sound. I first listened to this in my car coming home from work after a stress filled day and it was refreshing to listen to. Ideal summertime music. Good production throughout the entirety of the album keeps a regular sound throughout leaving you knowing who you are listening to even when the music weaves in and out of a variety of genres and styles. Even though there is a wide variety in the music it is pieced together well so that you hear the flavour of an influence within their own distinct sound. The harmonies are excellent reminiscent of QOTSA which work really well. Making use of a variety of sounds/instruments there is a diverse mix of styles. Highlight track "I Will" - Really enjoyed this track. The chord sequences lend so well to the vocals. The backing reminds me of the aforementioned QOTSA in so much as production and vocal harmony approach. Amazing song, leaves you wanting that chorus to be on repeat forever. Track 4 "Dirt Worm Ninja" another highlight song a refreshing take on the use of live drums within the first half of the song give the impression of some kind of chemical brothers break beat. This gives way to more funky distorted sounding riffage. The album rises and falls throughout but never strays too far from their own distinct sound. The middle songs on the album are a lot more mellow with more ballady type songs if they can be called that, strings a plenty especially in "Aggression Flyer". “Motown” is a song that brings things upbeat again with a nifty little clean riff that succeeds in getting the foot tapping.

The overall production is very clean and leaves everything to shine through in the mix. Tinges of Gary stringer in the voice in places as the vocals take a slightly more emotional slant. My only comment would be that it could be a little more rough around the edges in places, let a little of the live sound through as this would add energy to the recording which is, like I say, the only criticism I have of this. Last track "Lovesong#1" comes in with a slightly eastern sounding guitar sequence, followed by another of those amazingly well crafted chorus' blending vocal melody that weaves in and out of the music so well.

Overall if your boat is good quality music that makes you feel good these individuals should make your day very well produced relaxed and great to listen to.
