"Every drum fill and bass line, every blast of feedback
and every flick of Stuart's bleached hair, is faithful to the
original, even better than the real thing!" Kerrang!
TEEN SPIRIT recognised by fans and
the media as the World's best Nirvana Tribute are commemorating
the 10th anniversary of the passing of Kurt Cobain with a world
tour. Having smashed over 70 guitars since the bands beginnings
in 1994, this year will see dozens more obliterated in celebration
of the life of the king of grunge.
Kurt Cobain was still alive when Stuart Collier formed a band
back home in Australia whilst visiting his family. They would
throw in a couple of Nirvana tunes because Nirvana had never toured
Australia. Now the band are in demand across the UK and Europe
playing the show that Nirvana used to play when they were the
world's most exciting live band.
An exciting and faithful show from look a likes to accurate
musicianship, it culminates with the band trashing their equipment
every night. The guitar roadie is dressed in full surgical outfit,
and wheels Kurt as if it was the Reading Festival all over again.
The band also play an "Unplugged" Nirvana show with
the addition of a cellist.
The band will be emulating exactly the same shows as the last
days of Nirvana including the last New Years eve show and even
the last ever Nirvana Concert. You can't see Nirvana but you can
relive the power and excitement with the next best thing.
Support for the Manchester date is provided by Delaney and Naked
Lounge, two local bands that applied to the appeal for a support
act posted on www.gigs-unlimited.co.uk
and www.manchestermusic.co.uk.
