No Hot Ashes Biography
A young band from the mountainous regions of Lincolnshire, originally
formed in 2003 when Aston, Jo and Olly worked together to create
the individual style and sound of No Hot Ashes. They were joined
by, little but loud, drummer Jo in June 2004 and he has added his
own inimitable style to the set.
Seeing is believing (and some of the stage antics take some believing).
The live performance gets the house rocking and, having worked and
gigged most weeks, NHA have developed and evolved into a tight unit
of very exciting musicians and composers.
Their extensive fan base ranges from tiny Tina (5) and Mad Margi
(74) and the new forum on the website is gathering momentum. To
date the email fan base numbers exceeds 400 with more adding every
week.
The seven track CD '11am', recorded in January 2004, has received
critical acclaim with reviews from 'Gigs Unlimited' in April 04,
The Standard in Feb 04 and BBC Radio Lincolnshire in June 04. The
NHA style is best described as 'Modern' rock with influences from
Muse, Hell Is For Heroes, Incubus and Lost Prophets.
'11am' has sold well at gigs and, even though the band sees those
tracks as dated, Certificate U was chosen as a feature track at
the recent Bearstorm A&R Road show in July 04.
The boys have enjoyed gigging, the best being Vibe 03 in front of
2000 moshing fans, Junktion 7 in Nottingham and The Park in Peterborough.
The release of the new single ' Heart Attack On My Efforts' is being
launched during the 'Heart Attack' tour from Thursday August 19th
to Friday September 3rd. Dates are currently being finalised.
'No Hot Ashes can rival
any hot new bursting-onto-the-mainstream-scene band operating today
and if the world isn't a great big meanie you'll be wearing their
name on your shirt soon enough.'
Gigs Unlimited April 04
'Burn Bridges could be
a top ten single tomorrow'. With good supporting vocals it shows
a very different, tender side to the band. Aston manages to put
mountains of emotion into this song.'

No Hot Ashes Review By K Promotions
No Hot Ashes are becoming increasingly popular in the UK. There
seems to be many reasons for this - excellent quality of music,
incredible standard of musicianship and a host of handsome faces.
The band are marketable to many types of audiences from the teenage
rampage to the screech of innocent school kids to the arousing applause
of appreciative 'mature' listeners. Musically, the band are a gem
and a half; Ashton's vocal performances really are breathtaking
- he can sing all the notes, in time, on time and in tune. He has
a flawless, perfect voice that delivers the catchy No Hot Ashes
songs in a justified manner. Equally, the guitaring excellence of
Olly is a joy to listen to as he produces infectious hooks that
sail through the songs with such ease that it makes you want to
jump up and dance around your living room. In summary, the band
are musically intelligent and edgy and are simultaneously marketable
in every sense of the word. No Hot Ashes are one of the most promising
bands to come out of Lincolnshire in a long while.
