Jupiter & Teardrop - Bring Me Down EP
“Hugely impressive” – The Fly

“Four songs of pure quality” – Is This Music?

Jupiter and Teardrop is a four-piece rock band from Glasgow, Scotland, based around the song writing of the critically acclaimed Geoff Martyn and also featuring Oreste Gargaro, Seamus O’Donnell and Steven Westwater. Martyn’s melodic and soulful song writing saw him signed to Sony Music Publishing, and in 2002 he released debut solo album, Something Good, on his own label Buchanan Drive Records. The album was well received and Martyn went on to form Jupiter And Teardrop from the group of musicians he had been working with.

The band has performed at T In The Park and Gig On The Green, played major label showcases in London, and Geoff recently spent time in the USA, touring and working with producer Michael Lockwood (Aimee Mann – Lost In Space). In March, Jupiter And Teardrop head for Austin, Texas, as one of the eleven Scottish bands chosen to perform at the legendary South By Southwest music industry festival, and the only unsigned act among those.

Bring Me Down gets its full UK-wide release on February 21st. Title track Bring Me Down is dominated by sublimely moody piano and Martyn’s sneering lyrical catharsis, Moonshine and My Lonely Heart are delicate rock at its catchiest and final track, the soulful Something Good, is already well established as a live favourite.
